Monica Dupont should definitely be elevated to the status of Master Blues Musician. She has had a long history living the Blues, has paid her dues many times over, has written over 700 original blues songs, started recording in 1961 and had some blues hit singles, has played with the greats like Mel Brown, Luther Tucker, Johnny Heartsman, etc. and has had personal friendships with people like Howling Wolf, JB Hutto, Paul Butterfield, Hubert Sumlin, Joe Williams, Albert King and Taj Mahal. Well the list goes on forever and she is well known all over the world among musicians as a MUSICIAN's musician. Monica IS the blues.She is the REAL thing and there aren't too many of those left, She just released an incredibly well reviewed, successful Blues CD.
