Just did a short gig with Mickey Rutherford and let me tell you it was a pleasure playing with a Master Bluesman like Mickey.

He deserves all the honors bestowed him by the Blues Hall of Fame ®.

He is a one of a kind Bluesman and a Gentleman.

. .. He trod the board and played the Blues for over 30 years and was an exceptional Guitar Player bar none. His passion for the Blues was relentless and his support of others unwavering. He was a kind Gentle man that when words failed him, his Guitar never did. I loved him like a brother and owe him a life time of gratitude as do the thousands he made smile every Friday & Saturday night when he gigged. Terry Knott

Connie Lush and Blues Shouter

connielushbluesshouter@connielush.com

3/30/02 Norman Bishop writes, From Liverpool in England, Connie has been voted "Best Female Blues Singer" three times now and appears all over Europe.

Her influences are Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James. She is one powerful raunchy singer and, with Blues Shouter, a headline act. I can recommend all three of their CDs, available at their gigs or their website.

The Cadillac Kings

mail@cadillackings.co.uk

3/30/02 Norman Bishop writes, "From Essex (my home county). They specialize in performing good-time blues, swing and jive music and have been playing in the UK for the past three years during which time they’ve graduated from being hometown heroes to blues festival favourites. Their "Lou Ann" was entered in the US Swingawards this year. The results are available any time now. Their music is a mix of West Coast Jump, T-Bone Swing, Chicago Blues and Texas Shuffles. There are two band members worthy of note. Gary Potts (harmonica and vocals) - just think Sonny Boy Williamson and Walter Horton and you have his style summed up immediately. He produces a fat "warm" tone that is associated with classic amplified harp and in a relatively short time has become known as one of the UK's best harp players. Paul Morgan is on lead guitar - and for me sums up the essence of Muddy Waters. Paul is a master of the bluesy infill and solos, and complements Gary's harp playing like no other can.

Fat-drummer@cahonies.co.uk

"The Cahonies" from England UK. A trio of devoted bluesmen who roll and tumble the blues.

These guys are good friends of mine and even though we live on opposite sides of the Pond, they are the real deal... A great bunch of guys and BLUES MEN!
